Adopt a cat

Cat of the week

Hi there, it’s TABASCO, a cute but cheeky 4 year old who’s in need of a loving home.

I’m best to go to a home with no young children because although I am a cutie most of the time, I have my off days, like most I can be a little grumpy (only at times). I have had problem with my bladder which is all clear now and it is simply maintained by some special gel put on my feed so do not be put off by this (the branch can assist with costs of this gel).

Give me a chance to have a loving home and please ask one of the staff about me.

Animals come into the centre for many different reasons, usually due to a change in circumstances. Many animals happily adapt to their new life with a different owner yet some need extra care and understanding. Occasionally it takes a while for an animal to ‘settle in’ so sometimes new owners need to be prepared to put in that bit of extra work.

Most cats live well into their mid teens and therefore although many people view cats of 8/9 being old, they are in fact only middle-aged and still have potentially half their life-span remaining. Such cats usually have the benefits of being litter trained and settled in their ways, which can be a bonus. New owners can still enjoy many more years with their new found friend."

Remember whatever the age of a cat, there are no guarantees as to their life-expectancy.

The Wirral RSPCA has re-homing guidelines that can be explained in detail when visiting the centre. We will not rehome to households with children under the age of 4.

The centre charges a fee to adopt an animal as this helps towards the cost of the veterinary treatment and boarding. We charge £50 cross breeds £75+ for pedigrees. This includes the cat being fully vaccinated, wormed, de-flead, neutered and micro-chipped.
