Dear All at RSPCA Wallasey Centre
Just wanted to send you these pictures of Louie (who we now call Lou), after a rather mad spell yesterday when we first brought her home when she ran madly around the garden and through the house, she has settled down really well there hasn't been an inch of the house that she has not given the once over!
Everyone who has seen her so far has fallen in love with her, our next door neighbours especially! She seems much more relaxed today and has spent most of the time curled up asleep! Below are the first of what I'm sure will be many photos of her, but as you can see from the pics she is very relaxed in her new home.
Best wishes from Carol, Steve & Neil Grant

Dear all at Cross Lane
Just thought I'd let you know my new home is fab. I was adopted 3 years ago when my previous owners decided my sister and I were not wanted.Well I say its their loss because my new parents love me to bits and I have other friends in my garden as you can see by the photograph.I know you looked after me well during my short stay with you but there's no place like real home

Hi!
we adopted Raspberry (white) off you just before last christmas, we love her to bits and she is the cheekiest rabbit we have ever owned! We introduced her to our rabbit Simba (grey) and they get on very well chasing each other round the run we built them and leaping round like lunatics!
thank you so much for looking after her and helping us find her :)

Hi
Here are some pictures of DUKE a beautiful
tri coloured collie we adopted from cross lane in wallasey.
He is just a treasure and we wouldn't be without him, he gets
on ok with my cats and other dogs we meet when we go out. Duke
especially loves the beach and the sandhills.
All the staff at cross lane were really good and very helpful
especially ali and kat they taught us a lot about how to walk
duke and take leadership.

Hello R.S.P.C.A,
I have been meaning to write to you for nearly 4 years!
We brought Pear(tan and white) and Spice (grey) home in 2004,
they have settled in really well and mean the world to us!
They love the new run we have just made for them. We sometimes
let them have a run in the garden and they run around chasing
each other. Pear seems to enjoy it the most because he usually
jumps in the air with excitement while Spice lies in the sun!
Thanks so much cross lane

Hi all at Cross lane,
We adopted Titch in January 05, and she settled in really well.
She has brought lots of pleasure and is still a stubborn old
lady and is still mad as ever.
She was quite poorly earlier in the year because she had a
twisted stomach, but has recovered very well.
Many Regards,
Steve Stormes and Theresa Owen-Jones
A big WOOF from Titch

Hi Everyone!
I have had MAGIC (black) and ROLO
(brown) for 6 months now. They have settled in very well now,
and love to play out on the grass with their toys. I have put
small footballs in and toilet rolls which they love to throw
in the air.
Magic loves my other rabbit, who is called Flopsy.
Thanks to everyone who looked after them.

We adopted 2 cats from Barra Boarding Kennels in March 2007.
They were called Gary and Tony, but we have changed their names
to AXEL (Ginger and white) and FREDDY
(ginger).
We just wanted to let you know that they have settled in fine
with us! They are both completely different characters - Freddy
is a complete nutter and Axel is the strong silent type!
We love them to pieces. Thanks for letting us give them a nice
home!

Hi All at Wirral RSPCA
Here are some photos of ZINGER (one of gertrudes
kittens) who we adopted from you in december, Zinger settled
in really well from the moment we got him home, and has continued
to rule the roost ever since...He is even sitting on my knee
as I type this!!
Zinger has made us laugh so much over the past few months with
his kitty antics and we love him to bits.
Well done for all the hard work you do at the RSPCA
Thanks again
Gemma and Chris

Hiya.
I adopted these three gorgeous little cats (HOMER,
CHUNK and TAILS) almost 5 years ago
from Wirral RSPCA.
I just wanted to let you know that they are really happy still
and I love them to bits.
Each one has such a different character and I look forward
to many more years with them.
Best Wishes to You All xxx

I thought you might like to have this latest photo of FLOSS
& BOURNVILLE who came to me from you last May.
They are the most wonderful pets imaginable and are now housebunnies,
as you can see from the photo!

We got REGGIE from Barra over a year ago
now and he has settled in wonderfully. We knew he was for us
when we first saw him and he was on his back with legs in the
air wanting his belly tickled! We were warned that he would
hide when we got him home and that we should let him be.
We left Reg to it and, after a couple of days of being in the
understairs cupboard, he started to explore the rest of the
house. He was a little jumpy with us and other visitors at first
but now you have to negotiate your way round him as he sprawls
out on the landing, bathroom floor, garden path, etc!
He has been a fantastic pet and we wouldn't change him for the
world, even the name he was given at Barra seemed to suit him
(he also gets called 'Perrin' as a nickname). We would like
to get him a friend in the future but as he is such a big fusspot,
we think he might see them as competition for belly tickles!

Hi everyone!
I brought FLOSS & BOURNVILLE home on Friday
afternoon and thought you'd all like to see how well they appear
to be settling in.
They had spent most of the afternoon in the temporary run (
bigger one arriving on Wednesday or Thursday) doing the usual
rabbitty things...dozing in the sun, snoozing in the shade,
mowing our lawn(!), and scampering in and out of the boxes before
settling down to a prolonged mutual grooming session. I'm sending
in a pic of Bournville grooming Floss after she flopped down
beside him and nudged him awake! When he stopped, she then started
to clean his face and ears. It was lovely to see.
I want to thank everyone who helped towards getting these two
buns ready for re-homing, with special thanks to Beth who patiently
answered all my emails! Hilda

Please find attached an updated photo of my dog TESS.
We adopted Tess (originally Peggy) from the Barra Kennels almost
two years ago. Just wanted you all to know that she cherished
by all the family and has given me so much fun and love, I don`t
know what I would do without her. Tess and I walk for 2 hours
every day and she also comes running with me so she is very
fit, so much so that she was still bouncing after a sixteen
mile walk over Easter!
Thanks again for the work that you do in rehoming these pets.

  |
We adopted MAX & FELIX (FormerlyToastie
& Crumpet) from RSPCA Wirral when they were just two little
babies and we believed one to be a girl and one to be a boy,
even though we only wanted male cats we couldn't leave one little
one alone but they both turned out to be male anyway!!
We wouldn't be without them now we love them to bits!
|
 |
We have had TIGGER for over six months, he
settled in within a couple of days. He has never messed or chewed
anything in the house and we all love him to bits.
He loves our large back garden were he can play football,
and i for one would not swop him for the world he is a excellent
pal.
thank you very much the roberts family

When I first enquired about DIXIE it was
explained to me about her 'behavourial problems' and that she
was a special girl who was going to need a lot of work, and
to be honest I shrugged it off and thought she cant be that
bad - can she? After my first visit even though it was interesting
and especially after the previous meet and greet visits were
explained to me that the fact they had not gone exactly to plan
shall we say! I knew instantly she deserved the chance she needed.
She has been in sunny North Wales! now for 3 months and is
absoloutly loving it. She adores the mountain and the beach
and has even managed to get a boyfriend!! which would of been
un-heard of when we first got her.
She has made such an improvement in such a short space of time
and Im so happy. Even though Dixie will always be a handfull
I wouldnt change her for the world and I absoloutly love her
to bits.
I also want to mention that the Wirral RSPCA centre staff
are absoloutly fantastic, they have given me so much support
and help since I made the first enquiry about Dixie, I cant
praise them enough - thank you."
James.

OLLIE (formerly Chewy) has settled in very
well and has become very fond of our family. Me (amy, the animal
mad one) does everything for him. I feed him, play with him,
cuddle him, brush him and just all round care for him. We have
a cat-flap but because he brings dead creatures in, we only
let him go out of the cat flap.
He is waiting at the cat-flap at 7 o' clock every day for me
to let him in and feed him. He then goes up to his bed to sleep
for a few hours. When I come home from school I give him a big
cuddle and say high to him.
Thanks for letting us have a wonderful kitty cat. From the
Jackson family. (but amy who sent this in)
p.s when he came home he had gingervitus as you no but now
it has cleared up for good the vet says!

Here are some photos of my baby boy ELLIOT
(formerly known as Dude) who i adopted from the RSPCA in Wallasey
in early January 06.
He had been in the centre since November last year and as soon
as i saw him (with that cheeky face), i knew he was definitely
the one for me. Elliot is now 1 year old and is so happy and
playful. He loves his toys and we have hours of fun playing
together with the ping pong ball . He loves his two sisters
(who were also rescue cats from 7 wks old and are now nearly
15 yrs old).
Elliot has just had all of his innoculations and is now able
to play in his new big garden and i am sure he will have lots
of fun running around whilst i am doing the gardening in the
Summer. He loves to talk to you and loves his cuddles.
Elliot is now going to have the most wonderful happy life with
all the love he could possibly wish for.
Thank you to all the Staff at the RSPCA Wallasey, you do a
wonderful job and have hearts of gold. As an experienced cat
lover for more than 20 years it is a privilege to be able to
give another animal the beautiful life that they deserve!

This is ARCHEY (apollo) we have had him for
over 12 months now. He's quite a character; he loves our rabbit
george and our other cat ruby its just a pity the feeling isnt
mutual!
Thanks cross lane for letting us have such a lovely cat.

Well BEN'S been living with us for about
6 weeks now and he's very much at home and gets on well with
Chance (the black and white one).
As you can see we've got quite brave with him and are even letting
him off the lead occasionally!
Thanks for everything that you did for Ben and we'll send some
more photos soon.
Nick & Terry

SASSY (Suki) is doing very well. It was a
bit touch and go at first as she didn't like any sudden noises
and she woudn't let anyone near her so instead she would hide
behind the settee on her own. She's been with us now for 6 weeks
and is slowly getting used to us by letting us stroke her and
letting us go near her without her getting frightened.
She is a beautiful cat and we are so glad we have her. Many
thanks for all your help.

Thanks Barra staff! |
Coleena, who now has the correct Irish spelling "CAILIN"
for her name, has settled in to her new home extremely well
and today underwent the trauma of having her stitches removed
(from her spaying) with equanimity. She really is the most good
natured, generous and obedient dog, who is a pleasure to have
with us at home. There are still a few rough edges to be taken
off, but this will come with time no doubt.
Very many thanks to you all for the effort you put in for her...and
us! And extra special thanks to all at Barra who were a wealth
of excellent advise and common sense. The Wilson household.

When we first rescued SAM (10 months ago)
she had a very big problem with other dogs that she meets.
Since then Sam has come a long way, we have made excellent
progress with her. We take her to dog training twice a week
which she is well used to now and can do very well. She is now
good with most dogs she meets, including her boyfriend Wilson
the Labrador! At the start we could not let Sam of her lead
any were we went, which we can do now an she will walk well
by our sides. (but she goes back on her lead when other dogs
come, just to be on the safe side.)
Sam loves going for long runs which we take her for every weekend,
with her doogy friend Sally! , she also loves playing football
in the garden and playing with 'Mr snake' and 'rubber chicken'.
Thankyou.

Thanks
Cross Lane! |
PADS (left) has been with us two years and
is the cheeky one. CONE (right) has been with
us for over three years he is more reserved ... a real gent!
Both were abandoned outside the Cross Lane RSPCA as kittens
(at different times of course).
We love them both to bits and getting two was the best decision
we ever made. They are both spoilt rotten and are great fun,
we are really glad we gave both these great little guys a home

All is going well. JESSICA is becoming softer
and softer by the day. She fell asleep on my mum last night
and didn't move for over an hour!!
Hope you and the bunnies are well.

Here are a few pictures of QUEST, We adopted
him on the 1st April but he's no fool.
He settled in and became one of the family straight away. We
couldn't imagine life without him.
Hes very protective and loyal, yet so loving and gentle.
We would like to thank all the staff at Wallasey RSPCA for
letting us have him.
|
 |
Here is out JAI, we got him in Feburary 2005.
He has now settled in perfectly and is chewing up every ball
in sight, but we love him!!
Many thanks to the RSPCA and Simon who looked after him and
helped him find a new home :)
|
 |
We have had PADDY over a year now and can't
picture life without him!
Paddy was one of the family right from the start and he always
will be. He's a big softy and he spends most of his days sleeping
but if he's feeling energetic he goes for a play in the garden
with our other cat Meg who we also adopted from the wallasey
branch.
Thanks to everyone at the rspca wallasey brach for giving us
such wonderful cats!!!
The newall/stewart family.

The
1st kiss!

Lennon
& Fudge when they were first introduced
|
Several weeks ago we adopted FUDGE from yourselves
Happily, the bonding with Lennon was a great success, though
we thought we might have problems when Fudge spent the first
night in a burrow in the garden! Thankfully, she discovered
the hutch the following day and all is well, though despite
my filling in the burrow, they both insist on digging it up
again every day.
She is definately a happy bunny and is a great companion for
Lennon.

Here is CHESTER (Flex) in his comfy bed!,
this little fella settled in after just one hour of being with
us. He is a lovely affectionate boy and has hours of fun with
his toy mouse and catnip fish. He loves to sit in his conservatory
on critter watch, and is facinated by the birds, squirrels and
hedgehogs, the local cat 'frat' keep him amused for hours coming
up to see him.
Thank you all so much at the R.S.P.C.A. for giving us the opportunity
of adopting such a beautiful cat, he is a real pleasure to have
with us - keeps us on our toes with all his crazy antics! Can't
imagine being without him.

This is a picture of HEIDI on the very first
day she came to live with us. As you can see, she became a member
of our family the moment she arrived. She has been with us for
one month now and life with Heidi is full of fun. She is playful,
loving and lots of fun.
Thank you Wirral for letting Heidi come home with us!! The
Eakins family.

This is COOKIE, our Springer from Barra in
March 02. He is very settled here and loves to chase squirrels
and cats. He is very cheeky and will do anything for a titbit.
We wouldn’t be without him. The Sears-Blacks

This picture was taken in October 2004 of JAFFA,
our German Shepherd (bitch) who has been with us exactly four
years, she is now 7 years old. Despite her uncertain start in
life and us being her fifth home she settled in quite quickly
and is definitely one of the family. We can’t remember
life without her now!!
She has been a great joy to us and an excellent companion (but
as we were told when we took her she still does not like other
dogs but is not as bad as she used to be).
Thank you
The Thompson Family

These are my two beautiful dogs Harry & Sam.
Harry is the little brown one, he came from cross lane in wallasey
3yrs ago. He was called hermit then, he was one of chloe's litter.
He is so clever and loveable and we would not change him for
the world, he loves his baby brother Sam the golden retriever
who is so dozy but so so funny.
Love from the Steen familyxx

We thought you'd like to see the latest picture of JACK

settled in very well and love being stroked! They're huge and
still growing :) Thanks to everyone who looked after them before
we adopted them. Love from Sarah :)

PATCH & LARA came back to the centre in
Cross Lane to say hello and show off their new owners!

 |
Here's a photo of AUSTIN on possibly his first
holiday by the sea on the Lleyn Peninsula in Wales.
He's a true and loyal friend to both myself and my husband.
Thanks to Barra Boarding Kennels for taking such good care
of him before he came to us!

Here is a picture of TESS (Peggy) who we got
from Barra in July.
We have had a great time with her and are waiting to start
obedience classes together soon. The photo shows some of her
extended family on a camping holiday in the Lakes last weekend.
Thank You!
|
 |
SASSIE & TYLER (Bonni and Blu) love their
new home. Sassi (Tabby) has really come out of her shell after
only 1 week. Tyler (Brown) settled in the minuite he walked
through the door.
Love to you all in the RSPCA xxxxxxx

BECKS was at Wallasey in November 2002.
We have had her nearly two years now and she has calmed down
and settled in.
She enjoys sitting next to the AGA and playing with her tennis
balls.
|
 |
TAZ (previously Ferret) was very timid when
he first came into the centre. He's now happily settled in his
new home and enjoys long walks in Royden come rain or shine!
He loves playing with other dogs and chasing the squirrels.
He's a very quick learner - when there's food involved!
